Can you believe Christmas is only a few days away?! I guess with Thanksgiving being so late this year, Christmas really snuck up on us! If you’re reading this, you’re probably a busy mom who wants to give some hints to those around you – to get something you actually NEED under the tree. Or you could be someone who’s still on the hunt for the perfect gift for a busy mom in your life. Maybe she has everything – or so you think. Here are a few quick Christmas gift ideas for busy moms – things that’ll make her life just a tad bit easier.
Cleaning Service
I don’t know any busy mom that would turn away some help around the house. Even if you manage to somehow keep your house spic and span on a regular basis, it’s always helpful to take a break from cleaning every now and then. Whether it’s for one day, or for a whole year (or longer!). With 7 people in our house, cleaning takes up a large chunk of my time. So being able to cut that number down, even for a week would help any busy mom get some much-needed rest, or focus her time on other, more meaningful tasks. I’m sure moms would agree! So, surprise the busy mom in your life with the gift of a clean home!
Grocery Delivery Service
I really can’t stop talking about how much online grocery delivery has changed my life! I used to waste so much time and money in the grocery store at least 3 times a week. Buying things I didn’t really need, and forgetting the things I actually did need. Not to mention the extra stress if I actually had to bring the kids along with me. Grocery delivery is definitely the way to go for any busy mom! I use Shipt for my groceries, but I know a lot of moms who use Instacart or Amazon Fresh, and are happy with the services. An annual subscription to any of these services would be a welcomed gift for any busy mom in your life, I’m sure.
With a Shipt subscription, there’s no delivery fee as long as your order is at the minimum required amount (currently $35). You just order online and can get your groceries delivered within 2 hours. You could even multiple times a day, from different participating stores if you really needed to. An annual membership for Shipt is usually $99 per year, but is $49 when referred by a member (this is my member link if interested). Believe me, it’s so worth it!
Meal Delivery Service
I’ve used Meal Delivery kits in the past, whenever I’ve come across a good deal. These kits can save any busy moms the hassle of meal planning and shopping for the things she needs for dinnertime. You simply go online and pick the meals you want and have the ingredients and recipes delivered to you. I’d say the only downside is that you actually have to cook the meals! I’ve used Home Chef, Blue Apron, Sun Basket, and Hello Fresh, and have had good experiences with each one. They just tend to be a little pricey, so giving this as a gift can be really helpful for the busy mom in your life. This makes feeding the family one less thing she has to worry about.
And let’s not forget about meal delivery services like Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Postmates. These have all become staples in our house, and so many houses everywhere. A gift card for one of these delivery services would be welcomed by any mom, I’m sure!
Amazon Prime Membership
We’ve had an Amazon Prime membership in our house for a long time, and it really comes in handy! Being able to order just about anything and have it delivered (without a delivery fee) to our door within 1-2 days is awesome. It’s especially helpful for reordering household goods – setting them to automatically send when we’ll need them. I don’t even have to think about it! You can’t really beat the convenience of Amazon. And convenience is one thing that most busy moms need more of!
Besides all the stuff you can get off of Amazon, you also get access to Prime Video, Prime Music, and special discounts through Prime Family. I don’t know any mom who would turn down an Amazon Prime membership – that’s if she doesn’t already have one! If she does, I’m sure an Amazon Gift card wouldn’t hurt!
Babysitter
Sometimes busy moms just need a break. Whether it’s to go out for a date night, out for brunch with friends, or some time alone. I love my kids. But sometimes I just need a helping hand while I get some much-needed rest, or to do something I love. Even if it’s just for an hour or two, hiring a local babysitter can really be an awesome gift for the busy mom in your life. Especially if she has really little ones!
Spa Day
I absolutely love to get my hair and nails done, or to get a massage. But, I can’t always find the time for it. And it can also be pretty pricey! I can’t think of any busy mom I know who wouldn’t love a day of pampering. We get so busy in our lives taking care of everyone else. We make sure everyone else is comfortable and their needs are met. But, we tend to forget about ourselves. Combine the babysitter above with a day of pampering for the busy mom in your life. She’ll love you for it!
An Experience
Is there something specific that the busy mom in your life absolutely loves? Most of us have closets and cabinets full of “stuff”. A memorable experience will mean so much more than a random gift. Whether it’s a concert ticket, mini vacation, a series of cooking, sewing, or dance classes. Feed into her interests and give her a gift she’ll remember.
If you’re doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, I hope this list comes in handy. You don’t even have to leave the comfort of your home to buy most of these gifts! If you’re a busy mom reading this, feel free to forward it to the gift-givers in your life. Or to anyone struggling to find a gift for a busy mom who seems to “have it all”.
